WHAT IS AMPASLIP?

 

Ampaslip is the Ampa Plastics brand name for ready-made plastic slip sheet used to replace traditional wooden pallets when transporting goods.

Instead of stacking goods onto a wooden pallet and then using a forklift truck to pick up the pallet, goods are stacked on an Ampaslip slip sheet. This sheet is smooth on the underside and scored on one or two edges to create a "flap" that a "grabber" on a modified forklift truck can grab and pull. The goods are then carried and pushed onto trucks or into containers for further transport (push/pull system).

Ampaslip sheets are usually designed for one-time use, after which they can either be thrown away or recycled.


KEY FEATURES OF AMPASLIP

 

  • Requires no further forming or machining (supplied as a finished product)
  • Sheets are customised according to the intended end use (ie sheet size, thickness/weight, load capacity and markings are specified on order). The sheets can also be customised for multiple use
  • Has better tensile strength than paper or wood (won’t tear easily in the bend/grip area)
  • Can easily be recycled
  • Odourless
  • Resistant to moisture and bacteria
  • Can be washed using steam and a chemically compatible disinfectant or detergent
