Most thermoplastics are very durable and resistant to impact, UV and weathering (eg Ampagard, Coruplus and Polypropylene), making them suitable for outdoor use.

The ease with which some thermoplastics (eg Acrilan and Ampalite) can be fabricated makes them popular for applications such as brochure holders and menu stands.
